Bananas and peaches make this a fresh and fruity naturally sweet treat! Top your oat bowl with nuts, coconut shreds, fresh fruit, a maple syrup / honey drizzle and I guarantee bites of bliss! Time: 15 minutes
1 cup quick oats
2 cups almond milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 frozen banana, chopped
1/2 cup frozen peaches, chopped
2 tbsp. chia (or basil) seeds
1 tbsp. honey
Honey or maple syrup drizzle
Add you oats, nut milk, vanilla and salt to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer, 4-6 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add more liquid to adjust consistency, depending on how you prefer the texture of your oats (more runny or thick).
When your oats are tender, add in the remaining ingredients (banana, peaches, chia seeds, honey). Stir to combine. Cook an additional 2 - 3 minutes, until the fruit is heated through.
Transfer the oat mixture into a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings.
