MY QUEST FOR ZEST...
As my visa in the Schengen Zone was soon expiring in Europe, I took the ferry from Spain to Morocco. I planned to spend a month backpacking through Morocco before returning home to the States for the holidays and to work for several months to save for another trip.
I was traveling alone, learning new cultural norms, experiencing new traditions and customs, and of course eating and loving new cuisine (yum vegetable tajine and couscous)!
I experienced life in the cities such as Marrakesh and Fes. I trekked Mt. Toubkal (not reaching summit due to altitude sickness). I surfed the waves in Taghazout and enjoyed the beaches in Essaouira. I wandered through the blue in Chefchaouen. I found my spirit animal in the desert, Cam the camel.
I learned and I grew.
